Cover Letters:
Although some employers do not require
a cover letter, it is highly recommended that you accompany your
resume with one. A cover letter provides the reader with supplemental
information not included in your resume. For example, a cover letter
is the appropriate place to discuss work style, employment gaps,
frequent job changes, and details about education. Cover letters also
provide the reader with an opportunity to get a better idea of your
objectives and reasons for wanting to work for their company. As with
a resume, a cover letter should be catered to a targeted position,
company, and/or industry. A well written cover letter accompanied by a
professional resume will guarantee a successful first impression. |
